All I Want for Christmas
I don’t want a lot for Christmas
There is just one thing I need
I don’t care about the presents
Underneath the Christmas tree
I want you to give a thought
About those who are going short
Make my wish come true
Donate to The Pantry food bank, will you?
Christmas is the time of year that’s mostly about family, friends, presents, and food – but what if you found yourself facing difficult circumstances, such as redundancy, ill-health or rising heating costs? Imagine having to make the choice between either heating your home or buying food?
The Pantry is situated at Connect, at the top of Queens Street in Marple (Queens Street is opposite Marple Cinema, see map below) and is open every Saturday from 10:00am until 12:00pm.
The Pantry is open all year round, but at this time of year, they especially need our help. Just one tin of meat, a carton of milk, or a box of cereal can make a huge difference.
Donations can be dropped-off at Stationary Supplies, 44 Stockport Road, Marple, SK6 6AB
All food donations are greatly appreciated, although this year, The Pantry have highlighted the following essentials they are short of:
- Small packets of cereal
- UHT milk
- Tins of meat
- Christmas food treats
